Limited Lifetime Warranty 90 (Days)
SP Cylinders warrants it’s products and services to be free from defects in material and workmanship for ninety (90) days following the date of the original invoice. If the product is found by SP Cylinders to be defective, it will be repaired or replaced (at SP Cylinders ’s option) at cost to SP Cylinders . This limited warranty does not cover labor or other costs or expenses incidental to the repair and/or replacement of products or parts. This limited warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including those of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose not expressly set forth herein. SP Cylinders ’s liability (whether under breach of contract or warranty, negligence or strict liability) for it’s products or services shall be limited to repairing or replacing parts found by SP Cylinders to be defective, or at SP Cylinders ’s option, to refund the purchase price of that product or service. In no event shall SP Cylinders be liable for incidental or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with it’s products or services. Consequential damages shall include, without limitation, loss of use, income or profit, or losses sustained and the result of injury (including death) to any person, or loss of or damage to property. The parties hereto expressly agree that the purchaser’s sole and exclusive remedy against SP Cylinders shall be for the repair or replacement of the defective product as provided in the limited warranty. This exclusive remedy shall not be deemed to have failed of its essential purpose so long as SP Cylinders is willing and able to repair or replace defective goods. SP Cylinders does not offer any design services or recommendations, and therefore offers no warranty relating to modifications requested by a customer other than as described above.
All products alleged by the purchaser to be defective must be returned (with delivery pre-paid) to SP Cylinders within the 90 day warranty
It is a condition of sale that SP Cylinders will not accept:
- a. Any liability for any accident or injury arising from the use of any of their products in any form of motor sport event,
- b. Any responsibility for loss of or damage to any component other than cylinders received for repair,
- c. Any liability for any product used in any aviation or watercraft application.
In any event, liability attaching to SP Cylinders ., its Directors or its Associates will be limited to the replacement value of any components received by them for repair, in the condition in which they were received. Incoterms 2010 DAP (Delivered at Place).
ACCEPTANCE OF THE GOODS DETAILED HEREON CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS.
Warranty Not Covered
SP Cylinders provides a Limited Lifetime Warranty for our exclusive Nickel Silicon Carbide (NSC) Plating. This warranty, issued by the manufacturer, specifically addresses adhesion issues related to the plating.
Instances not covered by the Limited Lifetime Plating Warranty include:
- Plating damage resulting from machining not performed by SP Cylinders
- Damage caused by improper engine assembly
- Harm due to detonation or extreme lean conditions
- Damage resulting from excessively high cylinder temperatures exceeding 400°F (204°C) due to cooling failure or external heat sources such as welding or powder coat baking
- Any form of component failure
- Incorrect or insufficient maintenance procedures
- Physical impacts
- Cast Iron Nickel Silicon Carbide (NSC) plated cylinders
Quality Assurance Guarantee:
- At SP Cylinders, we uphold a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Our guarantee assures that all services performed on cylinders, cylinder heads, cranks, or other engine components adhere to industry or customer-supplied specifications. This commitment extends until the part is installed.
- In the event that you receive a part that does not meet the specified requirements, please contact us immediately. We will cover the cost of shipping the item back to SP Cylinders and rectify the issue without any additional charges.
- SP Cylinders cannot be held responsible for damages to parts beyond those serviced by us, arising from specification or sizing issues. It is the customer’s responsibility to verify the accuracy of specifications before installing the part.
Damaged Cylinder and Cylinder Head Repair:
- The Specification Guarantee and Limited Lifetime Plating Warranty are applicable to all cylinders and cylinder heads. However, for repairs conducted on previously damaged parts, SP Cylinders provides no warranty due to factors beyond our control. Services such as welding and machining on cylinders, water jackets, skirts, exhaust bridges, combustion chambers, and other repairs are not guaranteed beyond the Specification Guarantee and Limited Lifetime Plating Warranty.
Cylinder Head and Engine Assembly:
- No warranty or guarantee is provided for rebuilt engines when the final installation or tuning is not performed by SP Cylinders. If SP Cylinders is responsible for the final installation and tuning, a 30-day/500-mile workmanship warranty is offered on the services rendered.
- Cylinder head assembly services do not come with a warranty or guarantee. It is essential to verify all specifications and settings before installation.
Parts:
- SP Cylinders does not offer any warranty or guarantee for parts or services not manufactured or conducted by SP Cylinders. The only potential warranty is that provided by the parts manufacturer. This encompasses OEM parts, pistons, cranks, cams, valve train parts, and gaskets. For warranty information or claims, please contact the specific manufacturer.
Warranty Procedure:
- The SP Cylinders warranty exclusively covers product or service functionality and does not extend to physical damage or misuse. SP Cylinders holds no liability for any damage to individuals or personal property resulting from product or service usage. The warranty is applicable solely to parts manufactured or serviced by SP Cylinders.
- To qualify for a warranty claim, all claims must include the original receipt or invoice number along with a completed warranty return form.
- Warranties are non-transferable and are intended for the original owner. Returns will be accepted only from the original owner.
- Prior to shipping out any replacement, warranty claim parts must be returned to the possession of SP Cylinders.
- Each SP Cylinders product and service is eligible for one warranty replacement. The replacement item retains the remaining warranty period of the originally purchased item.
- All shipping charges, insurance, and any damages incurred during shipping for warranty claims are the customer’s responsibility. If the item is deemed defective, SP Cylinders will cover the return shipping cost of the replacement item back to the customer (within the continental US) via ground shipping only. If the item is found to be non-defective or originated outside the continental US, shipping back to the customer will be at the customer’s expense.
- SP Cylinders reserves the right to deny any claims if all conditions and terms are not met.
